In Canada, Keolis provides an array of passenger bus transportation services throughout Québec, including intercity, charter, airport, urban, school, and paratransit services. Keolis operates a fleet of 392 vehicles, including 62 intercity coaches and is the second largest intercity operator in Canada. Keolis Canada, as part of the GrandLinq consortium, was selected by Region of Waterloo to operate and maintain a new light rail system in Ontario. Work has begun and is scheduled for completion in 2017. This will be the company’s first rail operation in Canada.
Public transit is still running, but with changes including rear-door boarding on buses and now on LRT trains, and less-frequent service.
Passengers boarding LRT trains in Ontario must now enter through the rear doors, following a similar move by OC Transpo on the city’s buses.
