Keolis Transit America Partners with Veterans Groups
LOS ANGELES, CA – Keolis Transit America is among the ranks of Patriotic Employers to provide a working opportunity for armed forces through the Work for Warriors program. Work for Warriors has now brought in a new line of defense, by also calling up Reservists to participate in the program.
Keolis Transit America works with several programs and initiatives which hire veterans. Earlier this year, Keolis signed an official statement entitled Support for the Guard and Reserve. Signing this statement acknowledges that Keolis Transit America is a corporation that supports the United States National Guard and Reserve personnel. Keolis is committed to employee participation in the military and by signing this statement declared that they understand and support the military’s employment and reemployment rights.
Last month company officials were honored for their commitment to veterans and invited to attend The Patriotic Employers Boss Lift. Patrons of the program were treated to a flight upon a CH-47 Chinook out of the Joint Forces Reserve Training Base in Los Alamitos, California.
With boots on the ground the above mentioned, Work For Warriors initiative has also seized the interest of Congress. Last year, Congress assigned the Work for Warriors Caucus. The duties of this bipartisan congressional caucus, is to promote and increase awareness of the program.
Keolis is committed to veterans and related programs with which they have partnered. The company is in full support of helping soldiers get connected with good jobs. Working for a transit company is a perfect fit for many active and retired military personnel. They are often able to utilize their transitional military skills. Keolis Transit America recognizes military values and leadership skills, service members bring to their company and will continue to work to employee Guardsmen, Reservists and Veterans.
