Keolis’ Australian subsidiary, Keolis Downer, has been awarded a 10 year contract to operate and maintain a new integrated public transport system in Newcastle. The contract will generate total revenue of around €312 million (AU$450 million) and will start in July 2017. This is the first multimodal contract to be tendered to the private sector in Australia and includes operations and maintenance for buses, ferries and a new light rail system. Through this new contract Keolis strengthens its presence in Australia and its position as a leading multimodal operator.

BOSTON, MA – May 20, 2016 – Keolis Commuter Services, which operates the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) commuter rail system, finished April 2016 with a 92.37 percent on-time performance rate for all lines, and a record 95.57 percent adjusted on-time performance, the best adjusted OTP since Keolis took over operations in July 2014. Adjusted on-time performance takes into account delay factors beyond Keolis’ control.
In addition, trains on the system’s North Side set a record in April with 95.30 percent on-time performance, the best April in 13 years.

BOSTON, MA – January 26, 2016 – Keolis Commuter Services, which operates the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) commuter rail system, finished 2015 with the best on-time performance (OTP) of the year in December at 92.41 percent. When adjusted for delay factors beyond Keolis’ control, such as trespassers or police activity, on-time performance for December rose to 95.5 percent. Keolis officials said December is typically a challenging month because of the transition between falling leaves, falling temperatures and winter’s first snow.
Five-year contract valued at up to $29.5 million, $39.7 million with extension options
